Why we publish prices

The most-asked question on every air conditioning search is what it costs, and most installers still make you ring to find out. We think that is the wrong way round: a range you can plan against is more useful than a quote you have to chase. The ranges are on the cost guide; the fixed number comes after a free survey of your actual rooms.

How the work is tested

Every circuit is pressure-tested with nitrogen and then evacuated with a vacuum pump before any refrigerant flows; moisture left in pipework becomes acid that kills compressors years later, which is exactly why cheap installs skip the stage. Commissioning ends with measured performance across the coil, not just "it turns on", and the numbers go in your handover pack.

What we will not do

• Quote an installation without a survey. The pipe run and condenser position decide the price, and neither is visible from a phone call.
• Hang an unconsented condenser on a building the lease says is not yours. Freeholders litigate those, and they win.
• Site a condenser under a bedroom window, yours or your neighbour's, when any alternative exists.
• Top up refrigerant as routine maintenance. A system losing charge has a leak; F-Gas law and common sense both say find it and fix it.
• Fit the biggest unit on the van. Oversized systems short-cycle, dehumidify poorly and wear out early; we size from the room's real heat load.

Workmanship is guaranteed in writing, manufacturer warranties of 5–7 years are registered at commissioning, and the commissioning records come in the same folder.
